Maybe this is true…?
Women are like apples on trees, the best ones are on the top of the tree.
The men don’t want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and don’t want to get hurt. Instead, they just get the rotten apples from the ground that aren’t so good but easy. So, the apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality they are amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who’s brave enough to climb all the way to the top because they value quality.

I think I am corrupted, got a virus or something.
Last Thursday I went to the apple.com and made an order. A small, cute & sexy 12″ Powerbook G4 is on its way to my home.
I am so excited about one, small laptop that I can hardly wait for it to arrive.
What I did today – went to a local Apple store and bought a cute Mighty Mouse. She is now waiting for the new laptop on my desk…

Yes, I have heard about people who are crazy about Macs but I really didn’t believe that I could lose my mind like this.
But I am not the only one: “He got me invested in some kinda fruit company” (Forrest Gump, referring to Apple Computer)
I am trying to struggle with my books; preparing for exams, writing essays. The kitchen table looks worse than my desk, it’s full of papers, books, notes, yellow post-its…. and I don’t have any idea anymore which post-it should be attached to whick book. Is this a chaos? Am I getting a burn-out? Or is this just general exhaustion after busy days? Most probably just a chaos caused by exhaustion.
I was complaining about my book-filled life to my friend the other day. She tried to be supportive and encouraging by listing all those achievements I have reached lately – passed exams here and there, written essays on several topics, started to work on a publication. She tried to make me understand that I am getting closer to my dream, step by step, book by book.
Well, yes, I have done pretty nice things but still feel like I am drowning in the books and when I get one book read, there are at least two new books to be read…
However, this friend of mine was kind enough to try to cheer me up with a couple quotes that are pretty good advice for all of us.
First of all, she reminded me about Stephen R. Covey’s words – “Begin with the end in mind”. That’s what I did – when I got myself into this situation, I had a clear view what I wanted, and to be honest with you, it gets even clearer every day. And when looking back, yes, I am closer to the “end”, my goal, that I have set for myself.
Actually I think it applies to most of our daily situations – when you want something, do something – figure out the goal, what you want to be, where you want to go – and then work for it.
The other quote is from Winston Churchill: “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts”. So if I am drowning in the books, I’ll try and get on the surface again, and continue my project.
And to the end one of the quotes I have written on the back of my notebook:
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” (Eleanor Roosevelt)
