We finally have nice summer weather here in Pacific Northwest. Today the temperature has been above 90 degrees, and not a single cloud on the sky. What an awesome day!

However, looks like the sudden summer has melted some Seattleites’ brains. I have spent my Saturday by being lazy, did an easy run and took care of some errands – including visiting REI sale! It is always THE event of season for me, so really can’t skip it.
In any case my day started to turn out to be very interesting in the afternoon when I decided to have my early dinner at an Asian restaurant. Dan dan noodles with chicken made a delicious meal and sitting in the sunshine really made my day. As always, I had to ask for a box for leftovers, and the waitress was taking care of this. A couple of minutes later she comes back with an empty box. I was looking at her and asked what I should put into the box. Turned out that the poor girl had dumped my food!
My practical solution was to pay only half of the order since I never got the full meal, thanks to this girl who was apparently spacing out in the sun. This place has always had a good service, and the manager kindly asked the kitchen crew to make me a new half order. Everything ended well – I got my late night snack still! And I will go to Zao Noodle Bar again.

Another excitement happened a bit later when I was cruising home from University Village. I was enjoying the summer day, eating ice cream, keeping windows open and enjoying the summer wind in my hair. And what happens …. There are two cars coming on my side of the road, towards me. For a couple of seconds I thought I had taken a wrong lane …. Oh well, apparently more heat stroked Seattleites – now driving. This episode was a bit shocking. But survived again.
I wish people could still keep thinking and paying attention to things, despite the sudden sunshine. That way it would be so much more fun to everybody to enjoy these days in the paradise called Pacific Northwest.

Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather. -John Ruskin
